Abstract

We consider a single-warehouse multi-retailer inventory system in which discounts on the purchasing cost based on order frequency are given to the warehouse. A model with assumptions analogous to the EOQ environment is developed for all-unit order frequency discounts. A 94% effective power-of-two policy for a variable base planning period is derived.
