Abstract

The buildup and decay of photorefractive two- and four-wave mixing processes is studied. We show dependence on the coupling constant and the ratio of the signal and pump intensities. The solution for four-wave mixing with nondepleted pumps is identical to two-wave mixing with unidirectional optical feedback circuits.
