Abstract
A model was employed to study the response of a compliant beam in a constricted channel wall. The channel was modified by constricting the section of the wall in which the deformable beam was placed. The results show that wall constriction affects the deformation of the beam located at the constriction. It was suggested that the deformation was caused due to the increased flow resistance introduced by the constriction.
